Week 19

On February 13th, Logan turned 6 months old! I cannot believe that not too long ago, I would be going back to work at this point. Thank goodness for the 1 year mat. leave.

Logan had his 6 month check-up today. Weighing in at 15 lbs, 11 oz. The pediatrican gave us the green light to begin solids. Starting with rice cereal. No doubt pictures of Logan with rice cereal all over his face and hair will soon pop-up on the blog. Stay tuned.

Logan now rolls for us during daylight hours from his tummy to his back. What an accomplishment. We're so proud.

Logan enjoyed his first Valentines Day. He hasn't any secret admirers yet. (Mommy & Daddy don't count.)

Week 18

During the week Logan has rolled over in his sleep from his tummy to his back on a few occasions. Sometimes this wakes him up. We roll him back onto his tummy and he goes back to sleep. He hasn't rolled over for us during the day yet. He manages rolling from his back to his side quite regularly.
Logan continues to develop his shrieking voice. I've come running into the room where Logan had been contently playing when these shrieks sound serious. What I find is a content Logan looking at me as if to say, "Yes, may I help you?"

Logan's first restaurant

On Saturday, we were invited out for lunch by Grandpop & Linda. Logan's first restaurant was The White Spot. He did very well. Picked out what type of Pirate Pack he wanted.
I remember hearing my friends complain that they just get used to eating their meals cold. I thought I would try to be clever and had the waiter not ring in my meal until the others meals came to the table. It worked out very well. In true form, Mike ate his meal at his normal quick rate. As my burger approached, a sleeping Logan was handed off to Mike.

All in all, his first restaurant was a success.

Week 17

This week Logan has discovered shrieking. He'll shriek for no apparent reason and he'll shriek if he's hungry or has a messy diaper, for example. We're trying not to react to his shrieking so he won't associate shrieking with getting results.

As I had the pleasure of putting Logan to bed each night (Mike was on the 7am shift), I managed to get Logan to sleep at 11pm and even 10:30pm. I'm very pleased with this progress. I don't mind getting up to feed him around 6:30am-7am as he usually falls right back asleep for another two hours. Some mornings I go back to bed too.

The weather was beautiful this week so we got out each day for nice long walks (except Wednesday. We were stranded indoors as our front stairs were taken out to fix the rotten wood).
